CPC Pregnancy Center offers a refreshing light in the community by helping young people and their parents who are involved in making sexual decisions. CPC is a safe and confidential place to address this issue. CPC has trained peer counselors and public speakers who will educate, encourage, and equip young people to make positive sexual decisions. As a young person, making sexual decisions impacts the course of your life. Healthy relationships require finding reliable information and support to help you maintain your commitment to your future. If you have already been involved sexually, you may now regret your decision. An unexpected pregnancy or contracting a sexually transmitted disease can consume you with anxiety, fear, and confusion. CPC is here to help young people who want to recommit to abstinence until marriage and “start over” by saving sexual activity until marriage. CPC’s Abstinence Education Programs: Sex, Love & Relationships. Adapted for teens that are making first-time sexual integrity decisions and those needing help to recommit to sexual integrity by “starting over.” Two, 1-hour sessions with a CPC peer counselor. Parent follow-up packet provided. |

Let’s Talk Healthy Relationships Abstinence Education. One way CPC helps throughout the state of Alaska is through the Let’s Talk Abstinence Education program. Let’s Talk offers abstinence education presentations to public and private groups; providing students with the skills and encouragement to commit to sexual abstinence until marriage. Parenting/Youth Leader Workshops. Let’s Talk also provides “Connected Families and Communities,” an excellent abstinence until marriage educational workshop for parents and youth guidance leaders. This one-day, 3-hour workshop includes topics such as: current youth trends and language; sexually transmitted infections; love vs. infatuation; refusal skills; setting boundaries; goal setting; importance of parental influence.
