Guys –

we are here for both of you.

So you think she might be pregnant…Once she’s missed a period, everything can change. How you respond to the situation is up to you.

Guys, it’s important to communicate your thoughts with her and have a discussion about what each of you think is best. You are part of this pregnancy and what you think, feel, and want matters. Your opinion may be the most influential one for your partner. You should educate yourself on all of your options as a dad. Regardless of the decision you and your partner make for the pregnancy, the choice will impact you.

At CPC we have experienced men who are available to talk with you about any questions or concerns you may have about this pregnancy or being a dad.

Your involvement matters

Here are some steps toward making the best choice for both of you – together.

  • Talk to her. Talk to your friends. Talk to your parents. Talk openly with her about how this choice may impact you both.
  • Listen to her and express your feelings.  Remember you are apart of this pregnancy too. The situation involves more than just you. There are now three lives to think about.
  • Stay Calm. She needs your support now more than ever. She may be carrying the baby, but you are BOTH parents, and regardless of your relationship in the future, your baby needs you too.
  • Give yourself time. An unexpected pregnancy can make a lot of people feel scared. It’s important you take time to process the news too.
